IPS screen is a lot better than TN ifor watching movies. TN is generally for gaming/fps players.
I also wanted to know whether there is something better than fhd ips screen that isn't ridiculously high priced.

Digital signal is better because it either works or it doesn't, you can't get the image wrongly. So DVI is better.
VA also has 5x better contrast ratios than IPS, which everything else minus viewing angles are the same, so it's also f you're the only one watching the movie and can look straight to the display.

Honestly surprised that the Vette was only 2 seconds slower

I was always wondering why VA gets no talk about it, even on sites where they explain the differences, they make VA seem good, then say IPS is better without explaination.
