Redpill me on refurbished corporate computers /g/
I've read your wiki and you said it's OK when it comes to Chinkpads and Latitudes, but is it OK when it comes to desktops?
My laptop is on it's last legs and I need cheap shitposting station. Found great deal - USFF optiplex with 22` LCD (pic related). Figured out I might install HDD and wifi card from my laptop to save even more. But I don't know how long is going to last. Should I go for it?
Redpill isnt a verb

Most important thing you need to know: They'll always have shitty proprietary power supplies, which means you'll never be putting a video card in it because there's no upgrading that thing.

No, not always. At least some Dells and Lenovos have standard PSUs.
And those that don't (HP) probably still have standard power connectors on the mobo, so you could use them with a standard case+PSU.

You only need Ezio monitors and Aeron chair from office sales. Perhaps old mechanical keyboards or trackball. The rest are meh.
Don't get the SFF or USFF versions, because of proprietary power supplies and no space to install a graphics card.
I wouldn't reuse a laptop hard drive either, they tend to be slower than desktop hard drives and you may not be able to mount it properly.
