I typed in "how to delete system32" in both Bing and Google.

Google is nice and tells me all I have to do is press shift and delete. Below it are more ways I can stop Windows from preventing me from deleting this burdensome folder.

Meanwhile Bing has to be a snob and tells me I shouldn't do it. It tells me it is a meme and that I should stop trying to delete important system files. I didn't ask if it was a good idea, I asked how to do it.

Startpage and ixquick always sounded like honeypots to me, at least with the duck I know who is running it. Planning to run my own search engine at some point anyway.

It's why their results are the best in 2017.

The only real (and for some people possibly big) drawback is the actuality of the results. They tend to be a few months behind.
You can already search for OPs comment on Google and get this thread as a result, on ixquick you don't.
So searching for news isn't possible with ixquick.

Duckduckgo feels like a failed attempt of mixing ixquick and google together. It's basically not guaranteed to get a better privacy protection and you get worse results than on Google itself or ixquick.eu. It's kind of the worst of both worlds.

I find everything I search for.
However I stopped using Google when they started the female-style (instead of "boots green buy" you nowadays have to search Google in a "google please show me a store where I can buy a green boots?"), so maybe our search keywords are different.

I.e. I wouldn't write "what is the best smartphone in 2017" but "2017 review smartphone bargain impressive" or similar.
