How often do you dust your computer? Is canned air that important?

Using an air compressor has a much greater risk of spewing water into your system, but I do it that way too. I just remove my video card first, give that a dusting with a cloth, then go through the case with the air compressor.
It would be wise to not turn the computer back on immediately so any water might dry off.

Or once a month, whichever.

As for an air compressor, I would be concerned about spraying water.

Maybe twice a year, long live dust filters!

You can get a cheap inline water/oil trap off Amazon for the price of a big can of compressed air.
