nothing said there would be 1866 ram support, igpu mem increase or that it was even possible according to toshiba. pop an 8gb out of something else in and see what happens.

a lot laptop nowadays were like that though, 1 soldered ram and unused ram slot or 2 slot with 1 slot already use. 4 Slot are rare nowadays only gaming laptop/workstation laptop have 4 ram slot.
