Daily reminder that watercooling is a meme.
>Noisy
>Expensive
>Short life span
>Danger of leaking
>Poor price to performance
You can buy an industry leading cooler like the Noctua DH-14 for half the price of a "high end" 280mm cooler.
It'll be quieter, cheaper and safer while only being 2-3 degrees warmer.

The Noctua DH-14 is $60, a Kraken x62 is $160. You could buy so much with the extra $100
Even a Cryorig H7 would be better at $30

That's a 280mm AIO
The H100i V 2 is 240mm, and more reasonable $130.
But if you wanna go dollar for dollar against the DH-14 a H55 is almost on point at $80.
I'd also assume resale value would be better with AIO's. Known brands anyways.

Oh. and the H50 120mm is $65.

I'd be much more confident buying any air cooler than any water cooler, simply for the fact that there are exactly zero moving parts on a heatsink
>inb4 the fan
I have dozens of spare fans, I have 0 spare water pumps

I've go no problem if they fuck up on me. In my country I'm not assraped by returns and damages caused by faulty products. Should anything go wrong 100% replacement of damaged components must happen from the company responsible.
I get that it's a 'nerve-racking' thing to upgrade to. But how often do you hear of one leaking, AIO's makers have to be absolute about Quality control because failure can result in thousands of dollars in damages payments.. Sure pump failures happen. But that's why I still have my stock cooler. So I can use that while I wait for replacement.

Are you me! Also got a water cooler in 2010 to cool a Core i7 980x even though it's an AIO. Has been running strong all this time!
