Does high-frequency RAM actually improve performnace at all when not using an APU?
>Need to access ram
>Ram can only be accessed at a certain frequency
>There is a gap between the speed of any processor that needs to access ram and the speed at which it can retrieve data
>Get ram that works faster
>Less waiting time
>???
What are you even asking

how much is high nowadays?
Yes, on DDR4 at least. The difference was less than a frame on DDR3, but it's a couple of frames on DDR4 I think.
