Neuters MalwareBytes, MalwareBytes Anti-Rooter, Defender.. Crashes any software I try to format the drive with..
Want to go nuclear and just wipe everything but it's aggressive and persistent. Wat do?

You should be fine with any bootable media besides the HDD in question. DBAN is fine, but a Linux live CD will do just as well.

you know that's a feature right? you can't format the drive you're currently booting from. literally any windows or linux distro will let you format, as long as you boot it instead of booting your hard drive.
