I use youtube developer center for tampermonkey

Though if I ever get off my ass and get the perl script working I've written an Ncurses interface to launch and stream youtube videos straight to MPV so I don't have to browse that script ridden website.

why would you need anything else

I don't even see them using the permission they just added. Not sure why it's there. Maybe the author thought he needed it for this:
