I want to plug both headphones and speakers into this without using a splitter.
Is there something I can do on the software level to make front and back output the same 2.0 stereo signal without surround stuff?

I got this, but I have no idea what I'm looking at.

Yeah just create a dummy sink with pactl then send it to both sound cards at the same time.
This kind of stuff is why pulse audio created

Most manufacturer Window's drivers allow to send whatever you want to whatever plug since the HDAudio standard was introduced
iirc switching jacks however you want is part of the HDAudio spec
Look into your audio drivers, if you don't have them download them, Realtek drivers allow you to do this since 2006 or so on most of their solutions
Aren't you the same guy from Hydrogenaudio?

you need to read the manual or ask on the kx audio forum

Green should be able to be set to headphone/speaker out, then black to line-out/speaker-out.
Usually you have to tell it in the software.
Alternatively, get an HDAudio header->Stereo 3.5mm cable, and use that.

Doesn't it have both a headphone jack and a line-out jack?

Pretty much, yes (actually both can work as either).
But please don't bump this thread. OP can find the answer by searching or by posting in the forum dedicated to KX drivers.
It's a generic tech support thread that should be discouraged on /g/.
