Nigga you always have to 2 servers 1 that is in production and another as a backup.
And when the updates comes you migrate/clone the storage on the production server and run it on the the backup and replace it with 0 downtime while updating the production machine.

If upgrades matter to your system and network, you should have a live replication of your server anyway. Preferably on separate hardware to prevent downed systems due to hardware failure.
