>Using Windows
Why are you willingly letting Microsoft collect your personal data and spy on you?
Why are you willingly letting the US government build up a virtual profile of you?
Why are you willingly using nonfree software?
Why are you willingly viewing advertisements on an operating system that you paid money for?
Why are you willingly using an operating system that updates without your consent?

>>Using Windows
You're making some pretty big assumptions there.

>Why are you willingly letting Microsoft collect your personal data and spy on you?
I am not, I disabled all telemetry using documented methods.

>Why are you willingly letting the US government build up a virtual profile of you?
See above.

>Why are you willingly using nonfree software?
Because in some cases nonfree software is superior to free alternatives.

>Why are you willingly viewing advertisements on an operating system that you paid money for?
I'm not retarded, I know how to flip a toggle in the settings.

>Why are you willingly using an operating system that updates without your consent?
It doesn't, I configured group policy to never reboot if there's a user logged in.

Am I?

>I am not, I disabled all telemetry using documented methods.
How can you be so certain that when you follow these documented methods you're actually disabling telemetry? It's not like you can read the source code.

I have nothing to hide.
>Why are you willingly using nonfree software?
I'm not a filthy communist.
>Why are you willingly viewing advertisements on an operating system that you paid money for?
>Why are you willingly using an operating system that updates without your consent?
I disabled them.

Windows is a serious company, they need to provide a way for organizations to use their operating system in environments where security is very important.
I also haven't seen any suspicious network traffic after disabling telemetry.
>>
>>58799564
>implying a multi-billion dollar organization wouldn't invest some money into making telemetric network activity not look suspicious

I don't use windows. I switched to Linux last year and it's great

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you’re referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.
Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called “Linux”, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project. There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use.
Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine’s resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called “Linux” distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.

Let me rephrase.
There is absolutely no network traffic coming from windows services unless it's a clock sync or update downloads.
>>
>>58799604
What kind of method are you using to analyze this network traffic?
>>
>>58799618
>built-in rootkit is hiding traffic information from usermode applications
Don't worry I got that covered too. You can stop now.
>>

How so?
