What's are the loudest parts of a modern desktop computer? Mine's still humming like it's the early 2000s, which kinda throws me for a loop given my laptop doesn't make any noise at all.

Get a PSU that doesn't spin up unless under heavy load. CPU fan should be high RPM Noctua, and all other fans should be low RPM Noctuas.

My computer sounds like the elevator from Goldeneye when it's idling and I can't hear anything but the videogames when I'm playing videogames. Wear headphones if it bothers you that much.
