Hi, /g/. I have a Chuwi Hi8 Pro that is amazing, however the screen was cracked and it quit responding to touch.
I replaced the screen, and while it solved the cracked screen issue, only the top half of the screen responds to touch. The screen is only connected via ribbon, and I have reseated it several times.
What else could be the issue?

Recently bought the Hi10 Pro, the Wi-Fi is terrible - I can barely use my tablet in a different room than the one my router is.
Can I do anything? For the Windows side, I can just USB tether my phone, but what about Android?
Other than that, my only issue was the charger cable not allowing file transfer, but I could get over that since I have an external HDD.
How's the performance in windows? Is the limited RAM an issue? I just ordered an Onda V80 Plus which is basically the same thing but with full metal build

Performance is fine on the Hi10 Pro, but the processor can't handle too many things at once, it will have slowdowns if you use too much stuff at the same time

Also for this, I moved the router 2 cm away, removed some items around it and changed its channel from 1 to 13 - it's now working well, watching a Livestream right now without interruptions in a different room from my router. Distance on air should be around 4 meters from my tablet - don't have LoS, but door is open

>4 meters
Sorry, I meant 6
Try different drivers/touch firmwares.

Damn that's dedication, the whole reason I buy cheap Chinese tablets is so I can just replace the whole thing if I bust it up. Same with phones

you might have used a hi8 digitizer not a hi8 pro's? They look almost exactly the same but aren't quite

what cheap phones do you rec

it could most likely be a bad part if anything.See that kinda thing all the time since my job is repairing peoples shit
