Hey,
You might remember this computer from last year. Basically I fucked it up after fitting a cheep Chinese psu I couldn't get a display out of it and it's been sitting dormant ever since. Well I've had a new wind on the job and thrown some money at it and whilst symptoms have improved it's still proving to be my own offspring and been a problem child. Basically the cpu is frying. It boots, bios beeps and then the fan thinks it's Paul walker and rapidly picks up speed until it enevitly crashes.
All advice is welcome advice.
Inb4 Gentoo.

Basically the cpu's overheating within a mater of seconds of booting.

First things first. Boot with 1 stick of ram when trouble shooting start up issues. So often dodgy memory is the problem of non-posting computers that i've actually stopped counting. Same goes for that second GPU. Only gets in the way so remove it.
And by all means if things return to normal, shut 'r down again and throw all the ram back in. Works 9 out of 10 times as well.

blast it with piss
Remove the ram sticks then re-seat them. Works everytime.

Thanks guys, I'll try these in this order. Who knew, toms hardware had the best answers all along.
FYI /b/ has given out better advice than /g/
I appreciate any and all advise given and I haven't got it running yet but /b/ has actually figured out my faults had a formal introduction to the offending psu and upon been informed that I am well prepared with a brand new mobo as it's probably gonna be the issue.
I'm gonna do some last tinkering before biting the bullet and unboxing said mobo.
Here's a pic of new mobo and old psu. Would /g/ kindly step your game up, just seems wrong that /b/ has bested you. Also just to put my mind at rest because it's where /b/ got pruned but what's the wireing procedure for water coolers? Sure I got it right but I can't tell for sure as it's the 1st one I've ever fitted.
