I have an old ass Apple IIc that used to be my fathers and I'm trying to play Flight Simulator 2 on it, but I am having some trouble. Whenever I insert the floppy for FS2, it reads it, then makes a horrible BRRRRRRRRRRT sound, and then shows a bunch of numbers that apparently is catalog or something for the disk. Is there something I'm doing wrong? I have never used one of these before.
braaaaaaapppppp

Did you put the disk in before you booted it?
>>58772900
Yes.
>>58772712
Do you have a picture of what is displayed on the screen?
Sounds like a normal noise for one of those drives to make. Just the stepper motor.

Only thing thay shows up when FS2 is booted.

Have you tried booting it without a disk to make sure the system's actually okay? Maybe it's just not bootable and requires ProDOS or something to run.
Pretty nice that you even got the matching monitor with it though.

>>58773435
Yes and? Thats the first mac. This is a IIc, before the mactoddlers.
>>58772712
Sounds like the disk is corrupted.
>>58773450
What would he use to get it on to the system? Pretty willing to assume he doesn't have a PC with a 5.25'' floppy drive or software that can write the disks.

IIc came out a month after the Mac
