no, I do a shitload of archiving,de-compiling,encoding, processing and so on. In fact I need really need a more powerful CPU.

I have the option to OC to 4.5ghz but I don't like the 10~15C increased temps.

Why'd you get a k series then?
Change your cpu fan pwm so it matches the change in temps better, will knock that down to 5°C for free and that's a perfectly good trade off for better proformanz.
Turbo is a meme, fuck shutting down cores while still way within thermal limits.
