What are you lads doing wrong?
I know right? I've got mine connected to my router without a monitor and it streams games to my linux desktop just fine. No idea what all the fuss is about.
>>58759258
Fuck off aussie shill.
>tfw to dumb to use Windows 10
>le works on muh machine xD
Well, some drivers are definitely better than others, and Windows 10 in my experience has a couple of minor bugs in stability (namely in waking from a sleeping monitor) that make using it a huge pain in the dick. And this was on two quite different pieces of hardware, neither of which was particularly unusual.
Other complaints include its blatant stalking of its users, the bloat, the oddly divided settings/control panel, and the Mac-like userproofing that makes power usage a pain in the ass.
>>58759258
It works perfectly fine for me too
>>58759271
haaaa
>>58759309
How do I make Win 10 look like that? So nice.
It's mostly retards complaining about shit they can easily disable.
windows 7 was the last good windows
>>58759309
This is fucking magical pls explain what you did.
>>58759309
I'm also interested in knowing which VS you used and how you made the CMD start like that, looks beautiful.
>>58759258
I need to use this gaming OS in a professional productive environment. Win 10 is a fucking mess when it comes to professional use cases. But yeah, it's OK for gaming and shitposting.
>>58759258
Took fifteen/twenty minutes to boot for me on a new i5 the other day. This was after their updates messed things up.

Why do you like to lie in an anonymous image board?
>>58759258
The thing you don't realise is that there are very few actual Windows users here, the complainers are 99% GNUmales pretending to use it so they can spread FUD.

Did you just type random letters? This doesn't mean anything.

i understand the risks of using the OS.
I simply don't do some things on it.
I treat my machine like i treat unknown / other people's machines : As if they were somehow insecure.
We are intellectually less well-equipped when compared to you to handle a real operating system.
We are sorry.
Do me let me do me imma do me

Is this really Windows 10?
How can I get this font rendering? Default W10 font rendering is awful.
>>58759258
Must be nice being stupid.
>>58765607
mactype is probably the most common method people use to alter font rendering style
also altering cleartype settings

Sorry for the late reply but I applied a theme. There are a whole bunch of windows 10 themes on DeviantArt. I'm using this one http://unisira.deviantart.com/art/SEDA-Theme-for-Windows-10-632936467
For the font rendering I used mactype.

I think windows 8.1 was the low-key best OS.
But now with windows 10 the only options left are linux w/ GPU pass-through or Mac.
Can't use Windows 7/8.1 forever. I'd even say it's almost deprecated.

That looks amazing anon. I am going to do it. I have a few questions though.
How do I install this theme? I see there are directions but they don't seem clear. How does one revert in case there are any issues that arise?
Gonna try and do a backup just in case.
Also is this the link for MacType?
http://www.mactype.net/
I don't know man. I have had zero fucking issues with Windows 10, it has been a pretty pleasant experience.
I fell for the Linux meme and tried it, what a piece of fucking shit. Nothing ever worked, and I always had to jump through like 20 hoops to fucking accomplish what I wanted.
I have learned the hard way not to trust /g/ memes.
>>58759258
its just an OS for normies, made to work without problems (not everyone has to be good at computers) but you have to pay the price (closed source, does things in background without your consent and spies on you)
perfect for millennials and soccer moms
>>58759309
Wow, it's KDE Plasma, for Windows!
>>58768531
Aren't all versions like that now with the forced updates, though? I heard vista and 7 have telemetry service packs and small updates that you have to disable as well.
Preach it brother, it's literally the most stable and functioning OS microsoft ever made.
>>58768531
>>58769348
Since Win7 there was spying, people just didn't (really) know because they were unable to read the ToS correctly.
Microsoft simplified the ToS when Win10 was released, people were able to understand what everything meant, /g/ started crying.
But like you said, you can disable all of that shit.
>>58769447
>Since Win7 there was spying, people just didn't (really) know because they were unable to read the ToS correctly.
No there wasn't
There wasn't telemetry bullshit until Microsoft tried to release "patches" to install it recently. Windows 10 is shit in comparison to 7 especially when they silently install programs you don't want and don't need, advertise to you and take every fucking search on your computer then try to advertise that shit to you again
>>58759258

The only argument liniggers use is "MUH BOTNET" which is completely obselete since you can just run a debloat script to clear it and turn off tracking settings. It's annoying, but in the end you get an OS which is actually useful.
>>58770850
How do
>>58759258
Nothing, it just shat itself in the 3rd month of use. Windows 10 is a horrible choice for older systems.

Make a system restore point before you apply a theme. Here's a guide on how to apply the theme. http://neiio.deviantart.com/art/How-to-Install-Custom-Themes-262833454
Yes that is the right mactype. Standalone loading w/ LCD W7 are the settings I use.
>>58771697
Thanks bro
Same here OP, I used to dualboot back during Windows 8 but since I installed 10 I haven't bothered. I know IT JUST WERKS is a meme, but what can I say? It works, it's nice to use, and I actually have less problems than I did on *nix.
>>58761139
this is getting capped
I declare this is like fucking Enron 2.0 in the making here.
>>58772191
Jesus, leave it to someone more competent.
>>58770850
ACTUALLY
I prefer the non-lcd actual Anti-Aliasing smoothing that Adobe InDesign does.
While less accurate than lcd I dont like my letters to be sharp, thats the exact reason I have anti-aliasing on in the first place. Pillowy like a cloud but still very much readable.
Nobody ever implemented this, and the original version built into windows before cleartype was crap.
