Well, some drivers are definitely better than others, and Windows 10 in my experience has a couple of minor bugs in stability (namely in waking from a sleeping monitor) that make using it a huge pain in the dick. And this was on two quite different pieces of hardware, neither of which was particularly unusual.
Other complaints include its blatant stalking of its users, the bloat, the oddly divided settings/control panel, and the Mac-like userproofing that makes power usage a pain in the ass.

I think windows 8.1 was the low-key best OS.

But now with windows 10 the only options left are linux w/ GPU pass-through or Mac.

I don't know man. I have had zero fucking issues with Windows 10, it has been a pretty pleasant experience.
I fell for the Linux meme and tried it, what a piece of fucking shit. Nothing ever worked, and I always had to jump through like 20 hoops to fucking accomplish what I wanted.
I have learned the hard way not to trust /g/ memes.

Same here OP, I used to dualboot back during Windows 8 but since I installed 10 I haven't bothered. I know IT JUST WERKS is a meme, but what can I say? It works, it's nice to use, and I actually have less problems than I did on *nix.

I prefer the non-lcd actual Anti-Aliasing smoothing that Adobe InDesign does.

While less accurate than lcd I dont like my letters to be sharp, thats the exact reason I have anti-aliasing on in the first place. Pillowy like a cloud but still very much readable.

Nobody ever implemented this, and the original version built into windows before cleartype was crap.
