Is there a way to fix this? People are so frustratingly stupid when they sell this shit.
Is there a way to tell them that they are delusional?
This is the same as me saying "1990 Hoda Civic, 1.6L 300,000KM, all original parts, put a K&N filter on it, just vacuumed it, 10,000 maplebucks please!" And when someone questions the price I say "IT STILL GETS YOU AROUND TOWN!!"
It's hard not to sound all REEE about this but it's really bugging me. Idiots or fuckheads duping idiots.

why are you looking for a mac anyway?

Yeah, just buy from ebay.
Craigslist is for shit you don't care about. You should never buy electronics on there unless it is a complete steal.

what's wrong with this?

700 bucks for hardware thats 9 years old. no thanks

And im pretty sure that this laptop have outlived itself due to the fact that its not compatible with the latest version of MacOS.

this should lower the price considerable...
Where do technology illiterate mactoddlers get the false impression that they or their fruity toddler toys are welcome much less belong on a technology board?

>eBay
exactly. the only thing more annoying than buying on craigslist is selling on craigslist.
OP here. I want one to brush up on OS X for work and also have a comfy linux lappy. I have an iMac for support at work but I think I would become much more familiar if I'm tinkering and using one in my day to day.
I'm so lost in this shit, though.
These people know nothing about computers and think that because they spent 2k on it like 6+ years ago that they should get a quarter of it back or more.
Then there's the "UPGRADED" Macs. Ooh an SSD and some more RAM. That definitely adds just a bit more than how much it cost to buy the parts.
How are they so dumb?

So don't buy it.
That'll teach him.

I don't know, it's easier to get a working computer when you can look at it before paying for it. All the "like new" laptops I've bought off eBay had broken or missing parts.
I was in OPs shoes and needed a Mac to fruck around on so I got a Mac Mini for $75 off CL.

I use a mpb at work. I deleted osx and installed Linux but it sorta counts.
