Can we have an oldfag thread?
>2002
>just got my first computer
>get a problem
>go to techtv.com forums
>get some help and also get spanked by snotty nerds for posting the same question on both The Screensaves and Call for Help forums
>fast forward 15 years
>the OP's body has grown to morbid sizes but the mind is still of a child
>still ask for tech support, this time on /g/
>still get spanked by snotty nerds who tell you to read the sticky
prove me wrong OP

The old TechTV forums were more cancerous than reddit.
Couldn't edit post, make one spelling mistake, and everyone just roasts you for it instead of actually helping.

Hi, OP
I was one of those snotty nerds. I'm glad you remain triggered after all of this time, you kinda deserved it.
TechTV forums were a great thing. A truly beautiful stomping grounds not seen since.

It was a sort of grown up forum. Netiquette was still rather nascent and people were behaving like there wasn't anonymity. People behaved with a sense of community and they wanted, or wanted for their handle, to have a good reputation. People were still polite and easily trolled.
I came from a similar forum and it was a big change moving to 4chan a decade ago.

So WTF am I? First computer in '86...

Also oldfag. But wow. I wasn't even around in 86. I was born in 88.
2002 isn't old
1992 isn't old
even if it was the thread would still be shit

Sounds pretty much like old 4chan.
