Im looking for a new laptop to replace my HP Dv6 and I'm currently looking at a Dell XPS 15.
>1080p screen option and not any of that UHD/4K meme shit especially on a 15.6 screen
>Fully utilized USB Type-C port
>Various ports
Is there a better choice considering all that?
I've looked at a few potential Asus laptops but are either manlet sized with 4k/UHD or dont utilize the charging aspect of USB Type-C.

>not any of that UHD/4K meme shit especially on a 15.6 screen
How to spot a poorfag the post.

>not wanting 4k OLED
I guess when you have poorfag TV/Internet you are willing to settle on a poorfag screen.

>4k on a 15 inch screen vs 1080p on a 15 inch screen
Even on a 15.6 inch screen theres not that much of a difference besides the fact that one is gonna make the battery drain faster when I'm not using it as it's plugged in.
I might as well just hook it up to a 4k monitor that I use on my desktop instead of paying more of a premium than I already am.

anything above 1080p on a laptop is a waste
>not enough screen real estate to actually utilize higher resolutions for actual work
>shitty scaling on both w10 and linux
>crippled battery life
>4k gaymin on a 960m

this

Damn thats prety nice even though Im only looking at windows computers

If you get it make sure to get the one SKU that has both the 1080p screen and the 90W battery.

>Dropping more than a couple hundred on a Dell
You deserve to be this retarded.

>windows pcs
>not noticing that that isn't isn't a Mac.
Holy fuck.

Battery life on the 13" is pretty bad like 3 hours. But everything else is decent. Defeats the purpose of an ultrabook for me though as not having the carry the charger is the first requriement.
>>58745213
is that not a linuxbook?
>>58745232
Yeah it's the new Linuxbook Pro
>>58745265
so it's not windows.
>>58745232
Didn't know. Only saw it on here once before.
But I would never get an ASUS. I had an ROG and it failed 3 times on me. All catastrophic fails too.
I'd go with the XPS 15 or the Spectre from HP.

refurbished business grade is better than new consumer grade, also usually cheaper for the same or better specs.

I was already thinking that. I had a business grade HP before. Worked very well during my high school years
