no, you have to be good at translating business logic into code

very rarely if ever does business logic consist entirely of mathematical concepts
maybe if you work for academia or some shit

It's just a extremely dry and extremely boring topic that is useless (again, anything beyond basic algebra) for 99% of people so it's hard to get yourself interested in it.
