Hey /g/ I have two monitors, one is a DELL with HDMI and VGA ports and the other one is an AOC with just one VGA port on the back.

My GPU is not that good is a GTX 1050 ti of 2GB but it only comes with HDMI and DVI ports so I can't connect my second monitor to it.

I tried connecting my AOC monitor to my motherboard since it does come with VGA ports but when I do it says cable not connected.

So I tried connecting my AOC monitor to my DELL monitor with the VGA port that comes in the DELL monitor for shits and giggles and it also says cable not connected.

What am I doing wrong how can I get the second display to work?

Make sure its an active adapter, gpus don't use analogic signals, but dvi works both for analog and digital, if your adapter merely reorders the pins it won't be enough. You need a hotplug that actually converts signal
