Would it be a wise decision to replace the 6x 14w cfls in my house with 9w leds?

No.

yes
I've just put a 15w Auroglow daylight LED in my kitchen. Best lightbulb I have ever used.
Fuck no, unless you're ready to pay $1000 per bulb (anything less than that buzzes like shit) and don't mind going blind (all leds damage eyesight, contrary to other kinds of bulbs).
That said, incandescent are by FAR the best bulbs.

I wouldn't.

If the fluorecents are working you shouldn't replace them: the saving would be minimal or not at all if you consider the cost of the leds.
Also, in my opinion "warm light" leds still have trouble with the "lighting color rendering index", I see them pink-ish and artificial
The electric company sent me crate of these for free. What are you talking about, expensive?
CFLs are pretty efficient already. If you're not bothered by the color and they don't have to be flipped on and off constantly you can just leave them alone until they burn out.

Yes, IKEA and Costco sells very inexpensive LED bulbs.
They have zero warm up time, and produce better colors.
I hate CFL's
>take FOREVER to warm up
>make high pitched noise
>color feels off
buying LED's was a great decision
