I got no recs but a couple suggestions. If it's got the specs you need it to, you have a reason for the form factor for that kind of purchase. Alternatively, look into building something yourself with a case made for easy transport. Small form factor or handles?

I'm in the Merchant Marine, so I got a gaming laptop for the same reason.

asus rog gl702 for about $1,200
msi also makes some good ones for relatively cheap.

if you're looking for cheaper ones then dell makes an inspiron with a 1050 for like $700

Get the dell or acer $700 1050 laptop, both are very capable and are enough to play games. Don't be a graphics fag i bought a 1070 laptop and it wasn't worth it

I been planning on getting a laptop and then building an external gpu that it can plug into, that way I can have a regular laptop to do stuff I need to do with a computer, then just plug it in at home if I wanted to play a game which technically would be a horrible waste of my time but would have the added benefit of not generating heat having the gpu inside of the laptop case.
