Should I get an SSD? I don't really like messing around with disk stuff and I like to have a single drive icon instead of having two that I have to mess around with. The speed would be nice but, honestly, I'm more comfortable with a standard 2TB 7200RPM HDD.
>2TB 7200RPM HDD
total waste of money
Get a 10TB 5400 RPM HDD instead

I don't really need that much space, it seems a bit absurd for an average dude like me>>58685940

You should go spend time with your sister instead anon. Maybe give her a hug and tell her how much you love her.

I run an 8tb 5900 rpm archive drive as my only disk. It is fine. SSD is a meme. My drive cost less than a 500gb ssd.
if you just need space for non crit shit they sell HGST refurb 3TB's all day long online for $65.
inb4 3TB meme, that was mostly seagate. HGST enterprise drives are legit.
the toshiba x300's go on sale pretty often too.
i have plenty of ssd's so i think my next drive will be a hybrid 2tb and a couple 3tb hgst's when i feel the need to gearfag it up a bit.
that'll hold me over until ssd's finally go back down in price.
>>58685887
Is there a cheap one?

How do you "get comfortable" with a hardrive
Kill yourself stupid tripfag

I have a 275GB Crucial SSD that my OS is installed on. Everything from boot times to open applications is 4x faster. Best $90 I've ever spent. I still keep a 500GB HDD in the spot where my CD/DVD drive was and I've partitioned that to hold backups and large files like OS images and Virtualbox VMs. That's just in my laptop. I plan on getting a 500GB SSD and a 1TB HDD for my desktop. It's definitely worth it.

i just bought one. i better notice a difference. But i leve applications open all the time so i wont notice much
>I like to have a single drive icon instead of having two that I have to mess around with

>>58685878
>Should I get an SSD

Everything is faster. You'll notice the difference in boot speed, and in moving files.
