Tell your IT to set up the Exchange server fucking properly. I use Outlook 2016 at home with my Outlook.com e-mail and it works just fine with EAS. Outlook 2013 at work is fine as well.

If it's slow, it's either a fucked up install, or they fucked up with Exchange.
