Don't TN panels look washed out?

A good tn panel has amazing colour coverage and brightness. The just have poor viewing angles not that bad in landscape, but it's especially if you have them at 90 degrees for side monitors.

Aren't TN panels as good in color as IPS, but the issue merely lies with distortion at specific viewing angles? Or colors simply not as good, period?

Try and make sense of my terrible english.

Most of them have probably been in repairs just to have their firmware updated because of the bug that caused there to be seam in the middle. Also affected the Asus monitor with the same panel.
