What do you use? Adblock Plus? Ublock Origin? Both? Javascript disabled? Other things?
No script and AdBlock Plus or Ublock Origin.

Ublock and Noscript.

Noscript is deprecated by umatrix.

eww
ublock0 set to block third party scripts and frames. It works for me
>>58662392
I would switch to umatrix but I don't want to go through and configure every single website I visit all-over again.

Cool. Didn't know I could do that.
ABP because I installed it a long time ago when it was the preferred solution, but its been missing a lot of stuff, especially pop-ups lately so I'm looking for something else.
>>58662672
ublock supports requestpolicy rules also
I'm trying NoScript, but I believe that the loading time is worse than before. Is uMatrix better?
>>58662822
Yes.
>>58662705
Don't blame the addon if you still see ads. The addon only parses filters so if you have no filter to block something then obviously the addon won't do that.

Umatrix/no script and the like gave me cancer. Sure, in theory they are secure. But seriously, it turned my life into living hell when I do need a shitty website for reasons like business, banking, or plain porn browsing.
I have both uBlock and ABP installed and I use a manually edited /etc/hosts file. (A holdover from before I added uBlock, which might have a hosts style block)
I also have noScript but I only enable it for obnoxious websites.

How do I block this PIZZA GATE shit?

>I also have noScript but I only enable it for obnoxious websites.
This. Those programs are fine in theory but they are a living hell too.
I currently use ublock. It has a nice collection of filters too.
>>58662352
Not a single person with a brain uses adlock over ublock if they know about it.
As for what I use. I just use Ublock, with most filters enabled.

It's probably slightly better but it's a total meme that is a big difference. They are all almost transparent in performance loss to a new system. Maybe it makes a difference to very ancient systems.
Honestly I have a few family computers that are from the age of the Dinosaur and they don't show any noticeable improvement with it.
>>58663346
Honestly, I don't notice a performance difference between one or the other or even both at the same time.
Tell me about Adnauseam, they said it was "built-on top of uBlock origin" but I'm currently using uBlock origin.
>>58663392
this. I believe them that they benchmarked it to be better but I'm willing to bet the difference was minuscule. like 0.2sec loss with adblock A vs 0.16sec loss with ublock etc.
I use approximatelly 20 addons. Ublock is one of them
>>58662352
Also uBlockOrigin. On Tor I also use uMatrix.
