I already know C#, Java, Lua, VB and python. What's the best way to start learning my first real language?

Nah, I heard c++ practices change a lot, due to how many editions/updates over the eternity it has been around I was basically asking for the best place to find the newest info.

Get a C++ book, is must be at least C++17
C++ is wide and big language and people usually just master part of it.
Do not try to learn C++ as C with classes because its completely different language.
If you have previous programming experience C++ Primer by Lipman is a great book. (C++ primer plus by prata is not a good book).

Stop learning new languages and make something with the ones you know.
Seriously, I've done what you're doing and it's bottomless pit of pointless wank. Write something or get a new hobby.
