Will an i5 6500 bottleneck a MSI GTX 1070? Planning on running

That's not what bottleneck means. "Bottlenecked" as a term hasn't been relevant for nearly a decade, that 6500 will absolutely completely utilize that 1070.
"Not good enough" is not the same as "bottleneck"

It's just not an issue with modern hardware, unless you're using ultra low power tablet CPUs, any modern GPU can be fully utilized by any modern desktop CPU
A 1080 and a pentium would work fine, the pentium would drag down a lot of game's performance (what most people mean by bottlenecking) but it won't drag down the GPU performance (what bottlenecking actually means)
Actual GPU bottlenecking would be using a PCIe 2.0 x8 slot or something, using some form of hardware that can't fully utilize the other piece of hardware
And that just doesn't happen anymore, at least not with CPU/GPU pairings
