I've got a superflower leadex gold 750w unit - it'll take the abuse. Plus software monitoring is never truly accurate for power draw. The one thing I try and do is at those clocks keep vrm1 below 90c and given my gpu looks like pic related its not too hard to do. For laughs I once bolted a 3900rpm delta fan to cover vrm 1 and while deafening the cooling was impressive.

That 290x paired with a 4.7ghz 1.428v 8 core vishera chip means when slammed my system is THIRSTY.

All I care about is the fact that my 980TI gives me 60FPS at 1440p for every title. I have all setting turned to max except for motion blur and bloom turned off as they give me a headache.

This coming from a Fury X early adopter who got fed up with garbage drivers upon release. Good to see AMD cards coming into their own though. If Vega is as promised, I'll be team red.

I noticed. Really it seemed more like a sudden jump for me. Like around 2016 everything was requiring either 2gb or more. Thankfully I have a massive backlog of games that I never got to play years ago so the 960 would realistically last me till like 2020-2022 at the pace I'm going.
I'll just be missing out on all the triple "A" online shooters that I've stopped having interest in since MW2. Not too much of a loss.
