Never really heard anything else on /g/ except when /g/ makes fun of someone for getting a "gamer laptop" then the guy getting the laptop tries to defend it. But apart from that desktops are viewed as superior.

Of the fan is on the bottom then it is a notebook and not to be used on your lap. Otherwise you have fatso legs if the side vent can hit your junk.

I have a sager notebook with dual 970ms and a desktop i7 6700k and it runs fairly cool. Cpu 75° gpus < 70°. Keyboard never gets toasty and also i live in Texas.

This >>58644670 guy here and although i have a powerful laptop with read and write speeds of 3400/mbs and enough gpu power to play dem gaymes your right it is no match for a desk setup with decent arm space for keyboard and mouse. It is just a sacrifice of my lifestyle since im always working/moving around.
