I have no idea about 1020, but I can tell you that 950 is a good enough phone. My biggest heads up would be that it cannot connect to TTLS PAP networks, such as my university's eduroam network.

I can compare it a little with iPhone 6 Plus. The most obvious thing is that 950's battery lasts barely for a day, while 6+'s battery lasts at least for one and a half day.

Never tried 3g. With wireless off, it takes about 1.4 days and with wireless on, about 0.8 days. This is with my dual-sim 950.
