Need a basic android app idea for school, looking for some ideas to get the ball rolling..
Its an intro course so nothing crazy complicated is expected.
Note - I have no android/mobile or Java experience but am pretty comfortable with other languages.

Think about a minor issue you have daily, and solve it with an app.
You can also do fun stuff like a "photo tagging app" that lets you tag photos in your phone with stuff, so you can search them in the app later. Lets you work with the camera API in android, playing around with adding meta-data to photos, and you build a basic search engine using the built-in searching tools from Google.
