I'm in Europe, and looking for the best MX Blue keyboard that's TKL or 60%. Arrow keys are a must. Don't care about backlighting. Preferrably a white body.

If I can just get a board and separate keycaps that'd be fine as well, but I'm not looking to solder or program anything. I'd actually prefer US layout, so that should make it easier.

What are my best options? Sadly the pok3r isn't really available anywhere.

Guys my Unicomp Classic 104 just came in the mail today. God damn what an amazing machine.

Coming from a Ducky with blues on it but this is just worlds better.

I can understand some complaints about lack of QC on the casing, but mine appears to be pretty nice, so maybe I got lucky. A few problems but nothing I give a shit about. There are some rattly bits floating about in the case but I am 99% sure those are just bits of plastic and sprue because after some tilting and shaking one fell out. Not worried about it

My god I feel so important.

So my /mkg/ collection is now:

-Ducky 2108S with blues
-Unicomp Model M (Classic 104) PS/2 model

Next is going to be a Cherry basic with reds. Want to try those out long-term.

It's loud but ahhh this thing is awesome. So excited. Can't explain how happy I am with this at this current time. My typing is way more accurate. EXCELLENT.

Showed it to my dad and he wants one for work now. Might buy him one for father's day but he'd need to get IT approval.

The Classic is the direct descendant of the Model M. It even says Model M molded on the bottom. It is the next generation of the Model M just not IBM branded.
This one does have removable keycaps, AFAIK the Ultra does not.

I misspoke when I said I wish I had a real Model M. This IS a real Model M. However, what I meant to say is I wish I had an early IBM-manufactured (so silver logo) Model-M.

The Ultra Classic is lighter, keycaps are attached to stems AFAIK, and takes up less space. I wanted the gold standard, so I bought the gold standard.

The ultra classic is just a regular model M. The biggest difference is that the case is smaller. They are both the same keyboard and there is no difference in feel. The two piece keycaps are an extra option for both keyboards.
You are thinking of the Unicomp Spacesaver that is the "different" keyboard. Its functionally the same but the metal plate and the plastic is different from the regular model M used in the classic and ultra classic keyboards

the keyboard is fully programmable and there aren't that many options for Japanese alps keycaps.
>>
>>58625889
An extra option? I dunno, I never checked anything telling them to put the two part keycaps on.

And no, the Classic is the Model M. The Ultra has a smaller case. It's not identical in form. Don't know about the keycaps but it is not the same case.
The Classic is THE modern M.
>>
anybody know if zealencios are cheaper during the gb stage?

I really don't get what your going on about. The ultra classic is just a model M dropped into a different case. You still get the same exact typing experience, just with a smaller case

you can re assign the keys using sharpkeys. the only key you cant re assign is fn key. if you want it between ctlr and alt only way to have that is switch it w/ the win key via dpi switch then just re assign the ctrl alt and win key on the right.

PLEASE HALP

Just picked up a WASD V2 barebones (fullsize) & I am installing my own keycaps. Previous keyboard was a Poker 2 and didn't have these metal brackets on the larger keys.I cannot seem to install the enter key for the numpad correctly with the bracket without it getting stuck when pressed. Any suggestions? I can install it without using the bracket but obviously this is not ideal.

They actually use a non-standard bottom row (a mix of 1, 1.25 and 1.5 size mods with a 6.5 size spacebar instead of all 1.25 size mods and a 6.25 spacebar) so replacing keycaps ain't easy. You not only need to find a set that includes all of the non-standard bottom row keycaps you will need, but from what I can tell also 18 extra ones for the macro keys, and they also need to be on the correct row profile. Based on advice, bought a set of keycaps from Ali Express.

Thanks again guys :) Hopefully I can eke some more life out of this board.

Bonus: the key clusters in the top corners are swappable with differently laid out ones or even touchpads.

1) Budget
~180€

2) Location
Germany

3) Preffered switch type
Cherry MX Brown

4) Layout
ISO

5) Form factor
- 100%or 80% - I don't care

I'm looking for a white keyboard or a keyboard with white keycaps as default. I hope you guys know something specific

I hate that meme.
Also you see he is using a pretty good monitor and an ergonomic keyboard, not quite dox level but still an ergo keyboard.

yet he still uses a $80 keyboard, even if it is a rubber dome

$12 on amazon. $10 on ebay. that's what... price of one of your keycaps???
stay mad & stupid.
>>
Ordered a Cherry MX 3.0 with blue switches for work. Hope it is as annoying as it sounds on Youtube, first mechanical for me.
>>
>>58637419
no it isn't its $40. And if you are going to use the second hand keyboard argument I can get a used mechanical keyboard for $5

Yea, thank you dude! This is a solid option. But I'm also looking for a black AND white one :)
like this:
Are there any options out there?
>>
>Budget
Infinite, actually looking for cheapest option that satisfies all my other criteria

>Location (continent at least)
denbts, yurop

>Preferred switch type
MX Brown

>Layout
Whichever is cheapest

>Form factor
TKL, but not like my previous one where I had to dance between numlock/f-lock modes all the time

>Backlight
Whichever is cheapest

>Previous keyboard

Why not just change the keycaps on your existing one?
>>
>>58637740
because I need a second one for work. And I prefer white and black for my next one. The Ducky One is really lit but I can't find a german version of this color variation xO
but thanks for help!
>>
>>58637793
Oh, I thought you were looking to replace your existing one, which made me a bit confused since they're both similar. Still, the Ducky One is pretty close to what you're looking for. If you want black and white, you could just get another MasterKeys (or any similar keyboard) and get some white keycaps, which is probably easier than finding a black keyboard with white keycaps.
>>
>>58637793
I only know of two manufactures that make solid mechanical Keyboards in the German layout. Those are Filco and Ducky. You could buy a black Ducky/Filco keyboard then replace the keycaps on that
>>
>>58637862
thank you for this tip! what is the best website to order some white backlight keycaps for ISO layout? :)
>>
>>58638061
massdrop sells some for cheap. Otherwise you can try Gateron, Vortex, and NPKC keycaps. I checked Vendio and their white keycaps are out of stock.

If you want them that badly and can't wait then get some from china

There's a nice Vortex PBT set on MechanicalKeyboards. They've updated it too so now the numbers are next to the symbols instead of under them which meant they weren't backlit. I think it also comes with the extra ISO keys.

But they are cheap. Just how poor are you? I make enough tips in one afternoon to be able to afford two of them. If you factor in my salary I can buy like 15 keyboards from one day's of work on minimum wage. Of course I've already paid off my bills for that day so all whats left is what I'm using to buy those 15 keyboards

Planning on getting this keyboard.
https://www.amazon.com/Drevo-84-Key-Tenkeyless-Mechanical/dp/B01H6D6GR4?th=1
its the Drevo Gramr 84 Key, but im not sure what switch type to get. I have a Steelseries apex 300 and love the feel of these keys over mechanicals ive used in the past. So which of red, blue, and black feel the most similar to membrane switches
>>

>>
>>58636516
Have the same monitor. Can confirm it's top comfy.

i mean it was like 11 bucks
the white one came first, and i was really surprised how good and comfy they were, so my expectations of the orange ones went through the roof since im thinking pbt>abs boy was i wrong.

im 80% sure the whiteones are gaterons, no mentions on the seller's page but the box it came with had gateron

It's probably fully programmable, so most people would use the right or left big button on the bottom of the keyboard.
Since most people are right handed, I would assume most people use the GREEN button for space.
