Swapped it for my old 390x and it works fine.

Did I do something retarded or did I just get sold a dud gpu.

Fortunately EVGA are generous with their RMAs.

I noticed when they was "demonstrating" the PC turning on that the plugged straight into mobo and avoided GPU... wasn't sure if genuinely computer illiterate or just conned.

Still got more than my monies worth on parts excluding the 980Ti.

If somethings too good to be true I guess it aint.
