Help please! I had 2.6 GB of free space on my computer.
I torrented Season 1 of mash with was 4+GB intending to limit myself to one episode, once individual files could be checked off.
I used transmission-gtk if that matters.
Now, my computer says it has ZERO
Computer said it had ZERO space left.
I deleted the torrent and files from transmission-gtk, and it says I only have 203.4 MiB.

How do I find out where the rest of my 2.6 GB mysterious get sucked by? I wasn't downloading anything else at the time.

I'm using Debian Linux. Not Windows.
Use the mysterious terminal command that everyone here says is superior to a Windows program like space sniffer.
You could have used this, but instead you choose Linux.
Sudo empty trashbin

you coulddu -S | sort -n -r | more
to sniff out what's taking space in general, but idk how to specifically find the last 2.6gb that were written
>>58594973
have you tried deleting temps?
>>58595511cd /tmp
rm -rf *
Nothing.
>>58595504
>Sudo empty trashbin
THE MOST OBVIOUS THING.
I forgot the trashbin was even a thing, since I use the commandline to delete most things, and that doesn't send things to the trashbin.
>>58595504
Why do you have to sudo to empty trash?
>>58596023
You don't. It's not a real command.
