How's it going /g/? I'm a college student majoring in CS and I want to know what would be the best laptop I can use to code and take on the go with me.
If you are incapable of doing the research on your own (and reading the sticky), I am afraid you either will not get the Computer Science degree, or you will be immediately outsourced.

One look at you and I'm inclined to believe you'll buy a Macbook regardless of what /g/ recommends.

... is literal shit. Why would anyone purchase one in 2016+1?
X201, X220, X230
1080p Chromebook with literally any Linux distro. Cheap, long battery life, and despite what others say you don't need an i7 to program anon.

I'm using a T410 with Ubuntu to type this. Solid laptop, get a new battery and an ultrabay hard drive adapter.
Get a Macbook pro
It's unix, but just werks.
