>saved all my audio files as MP3
>they all now sound like shit because of rotational velociraptors
any help?
Convert them to FLAC.
Do mp3's actually loose bitrate over time?
OPUS everything else is retarded

>rotational velociraptors
classic
>>58574057
yes, why do you think flac is called lossless
>>58574057
MP3s are encoded "lossy", or "loose", meaning that on traditional mechanical drives they gradually lose quality.
>>58574076
fuck off
>>58574057
yes.
Bit rotting is a real thing. It has to do with extraterestrials using magnet rays that send electron beams through your SSD or HDD.
They target mp3 files because they think music is degenerate.

OPUS is okay, if a bit incompatible with some devices.
you need to reverse the power on the SATA power cable so it spins the disks in the other direction.
Lets all be honest though, FLAC just sounds better, even without a trained ear.

Basically this. If I can't find something in FLAC I buy the CD and rip it
>>58574196
Fuck. I covered my house in tin foil so I should be safe, r-right?
Lmao at all these replies.
Mp3 is like a jpeg. You still know what it is, but it's all fuzzy and garbled.
FLAC is more like a png. Smaller file size with no actual loss in quality.
>>58574049
You fucking idiot
>>58574286
This, but you have to do it with every power source in your computer, just switch all the red and black cables.
>>58574048
Have you tried defragging?
I'm deaf and I can't hear a difference between FLAC and mp3
>>58574048
I convert all of my physical discs to flac.
I only download flac.
I give files to friends in flac.
I export some stuff to mp3 because of portable media players.
it's 2017.
