Fake news.

Old fucking men should not be in charge of network/server security. I bet I could find a 20 year old with more knowledge and ability in like 5 minutes on a college campus.

Hackers across the world are licking their chops right now

Is this a new meme?
>>
>>58568186
Whata fucking joke.
>>
How is it not Newt Gingrich?

This could still go decently if Rudy is smart enough to realize he knows nothing about cybersecurity but instead just sort of aggregates advice from a bunch of advisors working under him

you don't understand the mind of trump. he wants roodie as CSA because it will allow Russia and China to attack the USA. this will allow trump to declare nuclear war on both, conquer both, then build golf courses and hotels on both. roodie will be trumps scapegoat for it all, and then fire him for being incompetent.

Hey, that's genius. Hmm, who should we pick as Giuliani's cybersecurity advisor? Welllll, we could hire someone who knows what they're talking about, *or* we could have somebody who has no experience with cybersecurity, but we give that person a bunch of smart advisors so they're not so bad at their job.

How the fuck did Trump miss a pick this obvious?? Much smarter than some old guy.
>>
>>58568247
>How is it not Newt Gingrich?
He may be too smart to get involved.
Newt will shill for Trump because that's nothing but hot air, which can be walked back. He may recognize the likelihood that the Trump administration will be a complete and utter disaster and be smart enough to stay out of any position where he'd have to make real decisions, and thus look completely incompetent when they fail. Saying, "B...but Trump," isn't gonna be taken as a valid excuse.

What part about fastest GDP growth among fully developed countries, 20 million more covered under health insurance, decreased deficit, and full employment constitutes "fucked"? Your shitty assembly plant jobs aren't coming back; steel production is the highest it's ever been in the US with the lowest necessary input of human labor and that's not going to change, unless you want the government to guarantee jobs to a few too lazy to adapt at the cost of higher prices for all.

Americans seem to have a short attention span. every eight years, a democratic administration sets positive momentum. Then we get roused by republicans claiming our decadence will be our downfall, we need to return to patriotism, hand them the keys to power, and that's when we get fucked and panic back to the dems.

We need to unhitch patriotism from conservatism for good in this country; we need liberal nationalism. An ideology that resists immigration and big business at the same time. We need abortion rights and to preserve the parts of our culture we love. Gun rights and NHS. Science driven EPA and military non-interventionism.
Why should we expect to vacillate between extremes like bipolar morons?
>>

>>

Hillary was more of a moderate but move left to appeal to bernies brain dead che guevara t-shirt free gibsmedat voters. Obama is the biggest culteral marxist faggot i have ever seen. >look at me im projecting
How about actually reading Marx? The communist manifesto is a shit example of "marxism." The real example, where he explains the cruxes of capitalism fall under Das Kapital.

>Oh please give me the no true scotsman definition of marxism.

Working class actually gets more compensation for their labor value rather than the market value of a commodity. That's the pretty cut and dry definition of Marxism. Any extension of that was not a product of Marx. Marx and his other colleagues even warned about the consequences of identity politics over-riding working class issues.

https://www.marxists.org/archive/marx/works/1844/jewish-question/

tl;dr version:
Jews wanted a special status in Europe because they were not the Christian majority. Bruno Bauer states that it goes against working class issues because you're only creating more elite classes that fight amongst eachother and do not benefit the working class issues.

>everything else
I'm not even going to respond because it's just projection and regurgitation. Figure yourself out.
>>
Isn't he supposed to FIND people to run that shit instead of doing that himself, though?

Please tell me it's like that.
>>
>>58570267
It is. Whether or not he decides to over-ride that authority and do it himself is another matter. His only obligation, as a technical description, is to get advice about technical issues within his industry or sector of authority and report that to congress and the president. For example, the head of the justice department isn't going to fight ever federal case unless it requires his intervention or presence.
>>

I don't think it was perfect but the ACA was at least some positive momentum. Private health insurance companies skim off a significant portion of what we pay to the healthcare system. That money doesn't go to healthcare providers, pharmaceutical / biomedical companies, just to middle men.

This happens because the business model of insurance is designed to provide peace of mind in case of emergency situations. It doesn't make business sense for them to enroll people who have predictable costs over relatively prolonged period.

Other countries solve this with NHS. We can't do that because the private insurance industry is so entrenched it's political suicide to take on in ernest. So the next alternative was the public option, which still made some sense, but republicans would make it impossible. Now we're left with the ACA, which is essentially government telling insurance companies they can't deny coverage or make their rates impossible to pay, and in exchange they receive enough government subsidies to stay in the market.

It's the worst of the above three options with respect to the overhead but it's better than nothing. At least it was some momentum in a sensical direction. I consider healthcare an essential defender of the right to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. If we can help it, I think we should always avoid having people in a situation where they have to choose between basic necessities like food and essential meds. And in a knowledge economy driven by creativity, innovation, and risk-taking, having some basic floor of protections for one's livelihoods encourages people to take creative and innovative risks instead of defaulting to desk job out of fear of failure.
>>
what mental gymnastics are /pol/ doing to defend this one?
>>
>>58570409
CBO already confirmed that removal of the ACA will increase the cost of premiums while removing health insurance from 18 million people in the first year alone (32 million people lose insurance by 2025).

except for single payer, ACA is better than the alternatives. the only reason people want it removed is because a black man signed it.
>>
>>58570417
They will call you a cuck.
>>
>>58570647
Wasn't obama trying to implement federally funded national healthcare insurance, however the republicans shot it down therefore creating a republican friendly ACA bill?

In Australia, private healthcare is 10x cheaper however it is still shit (75 dollars a month for basics, 250 for maximum). If it gets more costly than a boob job or a total knee reconstruction, they just ship you off to a public government run hospital. If our government gets rid off all the concessions on private health, the whole system falls apart and people leaving droves with no tax concessions for PHI.

The current cyber security advisor is a military man who has spent many times working directly with cyber security officials and probably already knew the basics of cyber security before he entered the office.

Now we got Rudy "Never forget 9/11" Guilliani, who is two steps down from Chris Christie in terms of actually being competent (which tells a lot) and ten steps down from anyone under the age of 30 who at least has a bachelors degree in this stuff. Not to mention, he's senile and going crazy. So not the best person to put in charge of a posiition.
