Why do people use Mac when it's leagues more expensive than

their laptops are built pretty sturdy but for their desktops you have a good argument, mac desktops are pretty retarded.

When you look at the raw specs of a pc versus a mac, you would think that the pc has more value. But for people who only use their systems for facebook or require osx specific software it doesn't matter. I know it's hard to accept, but your average consumers doesn't care if they buy an i5 vs i7 or 4gb vs 16gb of ram. They just want something that's faster than what they have now and looks nice.

There's also some really decent recording and photo/video editing software for osx. Final Cut Pro is ridiculously optimized and Windows is a giant pile of shit when trying to record instruments.

The Adobe suite is multiplatform so I'm not sure what you're trying to point out. There are several graphic designers in my office that use Photoshop on their macs. Adobe is more of an industry standard but that doesn't discredit other applications like Final Cut Pro. It just means it's really good for non-professional users.

Apple having a job posting with those requirements makes perfect sense. Imagine if Microsoft required their graphic designers to use mspaint. It would be ridiculous.

But this is all going to back to my main point. Even if you have a program running on windows and osx, some people will choose osx because they don't care about the superior specs. They're drawn to the design and overall experience.

I don't like Macs but I can see why people buy them. They're sturdy and well-built, look nice, the OS isn't complicated, and it has a trendy brand.

They're also overpriced and OS X sucks, but there you go.
