Normally I run Ubuntu on my second drive and am currently pretty happy with the way that it runs. I see people talking up distros like Arch, Manjaro, and Gnome but I'm not sure I want to put in the effort to get rid of Ubuntu for something else. Would someone care to redpill me into putting the effort to switch to something else?
Install Gentoo.
Don't bother. If you're happy with Ubuntu, stay with it. But GNOME is a desktop environment, not a distro. For example, I use Ubuntu GNOME, the Ubuntu flavor that comes with GNOME instead of Unity.
minimal ubuntu, or debian installation + the de of your choice is the way to go. fuck everything else. i just need to get shit done.
Fuck ubuntu.
