>tfw just found a working computer with i7 4790k
>paid $40 for the entire thing
did you really have to make a whole thread just for this shit?

>>58552968
It was at my local thrift store
I also bought a shit ton of really old mechanical keyboards
>>58552983
I'm hoping people can share good tech they found for cheap
Nice, OP, any idea what the other specs are on it?
Here's a wallpaper.

It has pretty decent specs, 2 terabyte hard drive, had windows 8 but I upgraded and it has 16 gigs of ram. Also I picked up a 900p monitor for 20 bucks. Including the rack! No graphics card tho.
It's amazing what you can find at your local thrift store, especially if you live in a good neighborhood since you know only people with money will just hand their old stuff they aren't using anymore for free.

That's excellent, slap something like this on there
https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B001NXDQCW/ref=sr_1_1_olp?ie=UTF8&qid=1484793821&sr=8-1&keywords=gtx260&condition=used
And you'll easily be able to run a very wide variety of games on there.

That's terrible, I have an rx 470 lying around, I think I'll just put it in there
>>58553348
Problem solved then, was only recommending that cause theyre pretty cheap second-hand.
Enjoy, OP.
>>58552968
Nice thread OP. Care to share to us the full specs?
>>58553126
That's a steal. What are you planning on using it for?
>>58552968
fucking ears
i found a expensive asus LN2 featured sandy bridge board inside a fractal case i bought off craigslist for 40 bucks. dude was selling the case after his kid left to auz to go live there. the case was banged up but the mobo sold for 200 bucks
>>58553459
I already have a decent build so I don't know
>>58553413
I'll try tomorrow, I'm in bed but it looks good from what I've seen
>>58552968
Nice one OP.
Tech steals like that are hard to find around here. The only good thing around here is musical instruments, Mexicans run all the pawn shops and they don't know what anything is worth.
damn, that's a fucking steal OP
I found a few brand new keyboards and monitors at my local thrift shop yesterday that I could easily resell online but I'd make like 10$ profit a piece so it wasn't really worth the effort. It's Value Village (canada) and these days it's not really a thrift store anymore as they keep trying to push prices up
Where do you live?
>i7 4790k
>40 bucks
>thrift store
Bullshit
