Not to the same extent, but Apple is still a US based company and a PRISM participant and the taxes they ( well, the company doesn't pay any taxes, but their employees do) go towards funding NSA.
If there's an argument for supporting a US based company, it's Dell who do ship some of their laptops with free-as-in-freedom OS.
