No mouse thread?

Got a ducky secret a few weeks back. The scroll wheel was bad but otherwise it was the perfect mouse. Currently waiting on a replacement.

best mouse
the only way to go if you like to play games and dont want to be a "gamer".
no retarded features, no software, very minimalistic, small, just 5 buttons(would have prefered just 3).

Fucking seriously

I bought a Razer mouse once. I have no fucking idea why that company thinks I care about every single software update and why my entire screen has to be covered up just to fucking update my mouse drivers.

Not to mention it will kick you out of a game just to notify you of it relentlessly until you manually do it.

Fuck that company.

Had a deathadder before, I hate Synapse but honestly anon you are talking bullshit, it never gives you pop ups with updates or any shit like it. In fact you can go on and on for months on end without knowing it has updates because it only shows there's one to download if you open the Synapse config window and then check the notifications.
Please remove head from asshole and then come back to post. Thanks.

Can't decide between
>Logitech G502
>Logitech G900
>Corsair M65 Pro

I'm leaning towards the G900 but I'm cautious about the wireless aspect of it.
>>
>>58538642
I had the Rosewill knockoff of the older version of this. Good mouse until the left click button shits itself, which it did on two occasions in under a year of use. But like I said it was the Rosewill-branded version.
>>
>>58538488

G102
It's stiff with noticeable increments
No rubber

>>58538642

The Rat Pro X has a 3366.

>>58538711

The wireless is great.
>>
>>58538711
I've had the g502 for a little over a year now. I like the feel of it, although I only really use two of the extra buttons for forwards/backwards functions.

I'm looking for a cheap non-gaymen wireless mouse, preferably with forwards/back buttons and decent battery life.
>>
>>58538711
I went from the M65 to the Ducky, the M65 is pretty nice but the coating on the sides will wear out and get gross after about a year and turn smooth. Also on the right side the pointed edge can sometimes dig into your hand. The sniper button was terrible and I only got the m65 because I liked the m45 which was the same mouse but without the sniper button.

>>58545686
They're kinda apples and oranges.

The Zowie is an accurate gaming mouse best for FPS games or just having a very precise and accurate mouse.
The Logitech is a business mouse with an ergonomic design.

It depends on your preference, I hate ergonomic designs and I play Overwatch so I would get the Zowie.

I would also recommend the Nixeus Revel over the Zowie mice potentially. It is cheap ($46), has the best sensor on the market, and has a simple design similar to the Steelseries Sensei or the Zowie FK2.

0) Wireless

6) Under $80

I didn't want to make a thread about this, so I will ask here instead, hope someone can help

My mouse left click switch is dead, I am going to order another online and try to replace it, but meanwhile I was wondering, is it possible to use any other switch for the click or would the mouse firmware reject it?
If I can just swap it with anything, I will get some older crappy mouse switch to replace it temporarily and keep using my mouse.
>>
>>58566711
I mean, they are all 3 pin switches and look relatively simple internally, other than longevity and maybe response time, I don't see how they could be all that different.
I would also think that for the firmware to reject it, they would need some kind of firmware of themselves or something, I don't know, and they look way too simple for that.

I am no fanboy of Razer and certainly don't like their 'image' but being totally honest: I had a Deathadder that lasted literally 8 years before 'dying' (still works, just annoyingly soft left click at this point) and I can't complain about that.

Honestly it makes me suspicious that people hate on all things Razer just because it is a popular company with a silly image.

Originally I was looking to get a Razer Mamba next, but I since I discovered that only Logitech has free scroll toggles, that went out of the window.

I got my Nixeus Revel a few days ago now, been using it since then. It's great. Super accurate, low profile so it's precise, and for me comfortable as a fingertip gripper with 18.5cm hands.

>>
>>58531589

Why the fuck would you prefer 3 buttons over 5?

Yeah I get that it's bad to have so many buttons you can't even grip it properly, but those 2 side buttons are ridiculously useful.

In web browsing, they're forward / back, and it's gotten to the point where I get frustrated using a normie mouse at Uni and/or work.

In games, you can almost always bind them to whatever the most important, time sensitive keys are. For example in CS:GO I use one for taking out a flashbang, for instance. Often you can use it to change the sensitivity temporarily, increasing/decreasing DPI as you need it. The list goes on.

>>
>>58574874
Shitty sensor but probably good enough for 99% of any kind of applications you plan on doing with it.
Simple test to find out just how shitty the sensor is.

Make sure your windows mouse accel. is off. Now put on lowest DPI. choose a point on your screen. slam the mouse as fast as you can to the other side of the screen and return to the original point slowly. Do it a few times. If your mouse cursor stays on the same original point on the screen as the position of your mouse, it's good.

Another test:
open up microsoft paint. Draw some horizontal and vertical lines. If there are small deviations with little dips and peaks due to human error? that's a good sign. You just don't want any kind of angle snapping or prediction really.

if you really want. Open up an FPS and try to make your mouse spin out by once again: slamming as fast as possible in a certain direction
>>
>>58574884
No seriously though, not that 40 is expensive but for 40$, there are a lot of options on the market. Hell, even from logitech themselves.

>>
>>58576252
Hmm the G403 looks pretty nice. It's very similar in size to the DeathAdder too so might not take much adjusting.
>>
>>58576501
Overall it's slightly smaller but the shape is almost the same. I actually like the shape more then the deathadder and the smaller size is better for claw grip, even if you have slightly larger hands.
Plus I think it glides better.
>>
>>58576562
Most complaints I see regarding the G403 are that it's too big (mainly width), so if it's actually smaller than the DeathAdder which I'm used to, it'll probably be perfect.

>Suddenly getting random double clicks which appears to be a common problem
>Contacted Logitech to make a warranty claim
>They agreed to send me a new G502 and I get to keep the old one which works fine outside games with the OS double click speed lowered
Based Logitech support!

I agree. I ended up buying two. One for home and one for the office.
>>
>>58574217
We have the same hand size. Is your aiming more accurate with this smaller mouse? I'm currently using a DA, but I've had my eye on the Revel for a while.
>>
>>58568295
It's plastic not rubber, easy to clean as it shreds your desk surface to bits
>>
>>58585001
It has back/forward on the sides, up/down in the corner, a sniper button and profile switch, it's really not a lot of buttons
>>
>>58591233
I found 2 on install gentoo wiki, not sure if I can trust these guides anymore, you got a right one?
>>
>>58585001
>having so many buttons in the way is a bit of a turn off.

No you need 16,000 at least!
Don't blame yourself, goy! Why,with that sub-standard gaming equipment you've got there, who could have expected you to have done better? ou know,I think I may have just the solution to that little problem you're having Hehehehe...
>>
So do I just get an intellimouse?

I really don't give a shit about gayming anymore, I just want a non-retarded mouse

My hand-me-down Rat7 is shitting the bed now and I'm sick of it going into spinning fits
>>
>>58538642
I tried it. I have the master mx, but I have to say that if I wanted something cheaper I would have bought this.
>>
>>58549479
You should have gotten one of the rivals in white, red, or any other colors. They come with hard plastic. I've had mine for 2 years and it's still good as new along with some cleaning.
>>
>>58551950
Those are hell for my hands. It almost gives me cramps just looking at how flat it is.
>>
Anyone know what it means when my scroll wheel seems to catch at certain points? This is at the hardware level. There's one point in the circle that is moderately harder to scroll past. This has only happened recently. Mouse is almost 2 years old.

Mouse is a Naos 7000 if that matters.
>>
>>58547879
I'm planning on getting one soon. Pros/cons?
>>
>>58551657
underrated
>>
>>58594309
I think it's for paralyzed people. Just my 0.02
>>
manlet here, G400S feels small, I want something bigger.

What do I get?
>>
>>58548329
Have one. It was a nice mouse. Until it started double and triple clicking on me.
>>
>>58587165
Why bleh?
>>
I have the old Razer naga epic (ecks dee). kinda want to switch to the corsair scimitar, but it doesn't fit my bigass hand well and I really don't want to drag my pinky finger all over the mousepaf
>>
>>58571006
have this shit and its really nice, love that the middle click is its own button and you dont have to 'balance' the scroll wheel when you want to middle click something, battery is good, only downside is it will still be on wireless even if plugged in unlike some other logitech mice
>>
My Logitech M500 is starting to have problems with the left button sensor. It doesn't register all my clicks, and will break the click when held down. Is anyone familiar with this problem? I did a complete teardown and rebuilt the sensor which fixed the problem for a time, but now it's back with a vengeance.

In a related note, does anyone here have expierence with the G403? If this mouse is done, I am considering it as a replacement. Looking for a no-nonsense mouse with +-4 buttons, decent build quality and the size of the M500 for a price of around 50 bucks.
>>
Alright, lads.

My beloved Deathadder from 2008 has finally decided to kick the bucket. What do I replace her with? I'm very used to an ergo mouse, and my hand fits it pretty well.
>>
>>58600905

It's a switch not a sensor.

Few drops of contact cleaner will fix it.
>>
>>58601197
I didn't have contact cleaner, but some cleaning alchohol and a Qtip seems to have solved the problem. Thanks anon.

Can confirm. No driver bullshit is the best. No RGB bullocks on mine either (FK2).

Fuck Razer, Nvidia and everyone else with their
>install botnet to use hardware
The fuck is wrong with people.
>>
>>58600975
I went with Logitech G403. Hoping its buttons don't start acting up after 2 years like my previous two Razer mice.
>>
>>58531210
ahahahahahah look at this fucking shit oh my god

I get all the function over form thing but there is literally no reason to have a mouse with more than 3 buttons
