How useful is having a second monitor? I don't watch movies

Either you use it for videos as you try to do something productive on your other monitor or you have specific uses for your monitor (which you already know). You have neither.

if you game then yes. if you play any games like wow then definite yes. mines mostly used for discord/ts and youtube while the main thing i am doing is on my main monitor.

If you want to multitask it's very useful. Do you check your email constantly? How about im/IRC? Comparing multiple documents?
