>some neckbeards in a basement have made a much better OS than companies worth hundred of billions

Okay Kevin.

Nice name pops
What's that?
If it's a Linux distro I'm gonna smack you in the head.

Never going to use solus, see no point in it.

SUP KEVIN
>some neckbeards in a basement have made a much better OS than companies worth hundred of billions
And it was called GENTOO
Solus is basically like Elementary OS, only WITHOUT a package base like Debian/Ubuntu behind it. Solus also has like two active devs and they refuse to package software except whey they happen to feel like it. Eg. Chromium isn't packaged because "we already have Chrome".
Reminder to not fall for the Solus meme
>The next release, SolusOS 2, was planned to be built from-scratch using GNOME 3.10 as its default desktop environment.

>some neckbeards in a basement have made a halfway decent looking desktop environment, which is a small but very user-visible portion of the entire OS, after leveraging over 25 years of open source community largely driven in recent years by companies worth hundreds of billions which the author of this flavor has benefited from for years (Intel), and I'm too fucking stupid to understand that budgie is not an operating system which is why I'm posting here instead of at a job on Monday morning.
