Google sends the same image to hundreds, if X% write the same answer then it is accepted as true. Google sends millions of captcha a day of course they won't take a single sample for each.

as you only need 3 letters of the entire thing to be correct. google are fucking assholes, and if they want me to work for them they can fucking pay me or get sued for slavery.

Google is not forcing anyone to use their service you utter moron, webmasters are free to choose whether they want to use it or not, and you are free to not visit pages that use it. Go complain to Mook, buy a pass, use a board without captcha or make your own.
