Yandex is russian shit, if you're just gonna join the botnet at least join your local one and not some inferior country
>>
>>58508279
This. Firefox honestly would be fine if it didn't have performance issues (likely due to the fact that Firefox keeps maintaining legacy support and not using modern processor optimizations). Pale Moon fixed those issues completely.
>>
>>58508330
>vivaldi is shit tier I used it once, I'd rather use Edge than that piece of shit again
It's fucking fine. It has a bunch of extensions that work really well.

>Yandex is russian shit, if you're just gonna join the botnet at least join your local one and not some inferior country
yandex is even better than vivaldi. there's nothing wrong with it. and you're better off being a part of a foreign botnet than a domestic one: at least foreign botnet doesn't share info with your local law enforcement so you have nothing to worry about.

only idiots don't use russian-based email services. they're god-tier and beyond the reach of 3-letter agencies. and they don't cooperate with anyone.

even Swiss services are now dead because they signed a cooperation agreement with the NSA.

They have good access to the rest of Asia so they make a decent hub for tourism but only if you're going somewhere else.

Tourism-wise, there's about 48 hours of things to see and do in Singapore and then you need to head over the border to Malaysia.

Little India is kind of worth a look though.

Firefox isn't bad though, or at least it hasn't gotten worse. It's the best browser available if you care about software freedom or the ability to customize your browser. You can use garbage like otter or switch to brave if you don't care about either of those.
>>
>>58508661
I label it as anything that intrudes on your personal thoughts or routines, or changes your thinking or routines around it, or makes you paranoid about the previous statements.

Possibly anything like the above that then tries to get you to spend money, or procure more information for that purpose.

Something that makes you as a person different for having used it, without knowing it has changed you.

I don't remember that article of stuff I accidentally closed 2 seconds ago, but I know it started with the letter b, type b, it autocomplete to fill your 2 second attention span. And you go on your merry way with your brain in someone else's basket.

A botnet is an interconnected network of computers infected with malware without the user's knowledge and controlled by cybercriminals. They're typically used to send spam emails, transmit viruses and engage in other acts of cybercrime. Sometimes known as a zombie army, botnets are often considered one of the biggest online threats today.

The word Botnet is formed from the words ‘robot’ and ‘network’. Cybercriminals use special Trojan viruses to breach the security of several users’ computers, take control of each computer, and organize all of the infected machines into a network of ‘bots’ that the criminal can remotely manage.

desu, here's what you should do:

>sort out your needs: pulling/sending sensitive emails, posting on forums, sockpuppeting social networks, downloading stuff, reading news, pulling/sending emails from major providers, buying stuff, sockpuppeting with real identity... roughly arranged from most to least critical
>create a bunch of VMs with different OS and browsers fully set up for confidentiality, and for extra sensitive stuff resort to links/emacs and manual HTTP posting
>set it up so that everytime you start a VM, it's cloned or uses deltas/snapshots of the original virtual drive so it's kept unaltered and brand new everytime you start it
>exploit free wifi, pirate neighbors, which you are to use sparsely in order not to get spotted
>get a raspberry pi or similar with quality wifi cards and antennas to use as router (<$100), with entire system on small, removable, disposable software, the point being you can swallow, flush or throw out the window the micro SD for perfect deniability
>set up an ad blocking, spyware blocking proxy: privoxy, squid, dd-wrt... pick your poison
>use your own internet for least sensitive stuff for which you can't avoid the botnet, keep a single Windows VM you only clear once in a while, to make it appear like you're not hiding
>use other IPs for sensitive shit
>get a VPN or dedicated server to use as a relay, which could also help you torrent stuff or host your own email server ($10/month at best), get it from free wifi, pay from paypal at worst, use fake names
>keep track of everything you do
>don't mix things up: NEVER BUY STUFF WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD AND SENT TO YOUR HOME FROM A PIRATED WIFI, NEVER DO ANYTHING SENSITIVE FROM YOUR OWN INTERNET, NEVER PULL YOUR EMAILS FROM YOUR GMAIL/HOTMAIL/YAHOO ACCOUNT ON THE SAME VM AND IP AS THE ONES YOU DO SENSITIVE STUFF, NEVER CONNECT TO VPN FROM YOUR OWN INTERNET

Doesn't cost much, requires minimal computer knowledge, largely better security. Why haven't you done it yet /g/?

For the same reason you shouldn't go connect to Gmail or log onto Facebook from your VPN, it just warns everyone you have one and makes it easier to link your activity to that IP, and in the end, to you.

A VPN is to be used for deniable stuff that isn't linked to you, otherwise it's just not worth it. You don't want your ISP to know you have one for starters.

Many accept bitcoins, dedicated server providers like OVH often accept anonymous postal money orders, otherwise there's always Paypal, which you can create with a fake name, though you're revealing your identity to paypal via your card, but it's better than nothing. If you can get your hands on anonymous prepaid payment cards, it's the way to go. Very few accept cash, but better look at feedback before attempting that.

>>58511680
That's the issue with Tor anon: no one knows what you're doing with it, but everyone knows you're connected to its entry points. Tor bridges "may" work for the ISP but let's not assume the fiveguys botnet cannot detect it. All in all, don't expect to hide your Tor traffic to your ISP.

I'd rather connect to my anonymously obtained VPN that's not linked to me through hacked wifi (and some relaying between a couple hacked routers and computers I left backdoors in here and there wherever I go), whether through Tor or not, and start from there.

Your own ISP should only see your public email pulling/posting, real social network accounts shittweeting, and your ordering of dragon dildos on amazon. Anything else and you're bust.

Not really. If a guy takes your info and does anything illegal with it, he goes to jail. If a company takes your info and does anything illegal with it, they maybe get fined 1 million dollars out of the billions they have. And that company keeps doing what it's doing.

Brave works by blocking outside online ads and ad tracking to speed up performance, rather than requiring an add-on ad blocker or other privacy protectors.

Brave scrubs websites of most of their ads and all tracking, and replaces those ads with its own.

Pages load instantly. Pages with a lot of ads and other junk, ranging from Amazon to eBay, load up instantly with Brave. It is really that fast.

The Chromium base means extensions and plugins will work

Pic related - my browser. When you open a new tab you get a nice image and some other info that you may find useful.

I really recommend this browser. I love it.
>>
>>58515088
A company represents a lot of people, the benefits goes to the company not to a single guy.

there is more of a genetic difference between chimpanzees of different tribes than between pretty much all human races. I am not saying niggers are exactly the same as gooks/whites, but I am saying that /pol/ blows that shit way out of proportion and would probably be a lot happier if they stopped hating other humans so much. That being said, this is fucking /g/, the biggest political issues here is shit like whether you like amd/windows or not, and I don't think anyone here wants to kill people over that. On /pol/ however, everyone wants to kill everyone else that disagrees with them, and that kind of cancer needs to stay over there, let us talk about browsers.
